How to get more views on Instagram Reels
Reels reach is decided in the first loop. Almost everything else is downstream of that.

How a Reel gets distributed
Instagram shows a new Reel to a small test audience — some of your followers, some not. It measures how many watch past the first seconds, how many watch it more than once, and how many save or send it. Strong signals mean a bigger audience next; weak ones mean it stops.
The consequence is that the first two seconds decide most of the outcome. Not the caption, not the hashtags, not the posting time.
Loops are the cheapest win available
A Reel that ends where it began plays again without the viewer doing anything, and Instagram counts that. A seven-second Reel watched three times reads as much stronger than a twenty-second one watched once.
This is why very short, seamlessly looping Reels punch above their weight. It is not a trick so much as an artefact of how watch time is counted.
What suppresses a Reel
- A TikTok watermark. Instagram explicitly deprioritises these, and it is the single most common reason a Reel gets almost no reach.
- Low resolution or letterboxed video with black bars.
- Recycled audio from a trend that has passed.
- Text placed where the UI covers it — viewers cannot read it, so they scroll.
Practical changes that work
- Export from your editor at full resolution. Never download from another platform to repost.
- Put the payoff or the hook in frame one, before any title card.
- Keep it under ten seconds while you are testing what works.
- Design the last frame to cut cleanly back to the first.
- Use original audio when the content carries itself; trending audio only while the trend is current.
Bought views: what they do and do not do
Reel views are inexpensive and low-risk to buy. They make a Reel look established to someone arriving from outside Instagram, which is genuinely useful if you are linking to it from an ad, a bio, or a message.
They do not make Instagram distribute the Reel further. The distribution decision is based on how the test audience behaved, and bought views are not part of that audience. If a Reel is not travelling organically, buying views changes the number on the screen and nothing else.
If you want the view count for credibility
Instagram Reel views are among the cheapest services we carry, priced in ringgit. They are useful as social proof — they will not fix organic distribution, and we would rather you know that first.
Questions people ask
Why do my Reels get stuck at exactly a few hundred views?
That is roughly the size of the initial test audience. Stopping there means the test group did not watch long enough or often enough. It is almost always the opening seconds.
Does posting Reels to Stories help reach?
It helps your existing followers see it, which can improve early signals a little. It does not directly increase distribution to non-followers.
Do I need to use trending audio?
It helps when the trend is current and genuinely fits. Using a trend that peaked two weeks ago is worse than using original audio.
Is buying Reel views safe?
It carries less risk than buying followers because views do not need to behave like an audience afterwards. Keep the numbers proportional to your likes and comments so the profile stays believable.
